The students with disabilities and regular students can work and learn together with a positive support system, a positive climate, and positive instruction. The attitudes and beliefs in inclusion must be school wide. When all students are held to the same clear standards, they are able to work and succeed in learning together. “Positive attitudes, strong partnerships between parents and educators, use of appropriate interventions to address needs, and meaningful adaptations and modifications to the curriculum are considered important elements for inclusive programs to be effective” (Loiacono & Valenti, 2010, p. 25). An inclusive classroom should be a comfortable place with learning and understanding as the focus.
